Plot
This is a jumpy and eerie thriller where one man sets out to take a short cut into the woods of hell. After crashing into a family car that previously crashed as well they all are unaware of the nightmare yet to come. All set out to find help near by before a horrific killing spree takes place by three inbred men. The brilliant scary laughs echo through the woods as each characters trying desperately to escape. Follow them and jump out of your skin as who will survive and who wont be as lucky.
This film inspired me to our final piece as it is set in the middle of the woods, in the middle of nowhere. It's incredible makeup for the inbreds really helps to add the naturalist and realistic style to the whole film something that i really hope to achieve in our film, in making it look believable. The makeup is so brilliantly shocking as well there almost too horrible to look at. I like this as it really helps for the film to fit into the whole genre of horror. To me a horror is not about the gore and the blood but its about the fright that it can give you the thrill it makes you feel, the connection with the characters. Theres always one you want to live and one you don't. I find the costumes in this film are extremely acceptable and appropriate for the film as well as ours. I want our characters to have casual clothing on and make the film look more realistic. This hopefully will help to add to the horror showing it is happening to someone in the world, maybe showing a true story and again adding to the horror making it appear more scary.
The music that runs through the film is jumpy and ranges from volume. In parts it appears louder to emphasis something bad is going to happen then becomes more quiet helping to tell the story and show nothing much is going on. The music is a huge part to the film as it helps to add tension and thrill. However i want the music to sometimes be there however it sound so normal and quiet that sometimes you do not realise it is there.
