Vladimir Propp came up with the idea that every film has 8 (9 in horror) characters.

These include:
Hero
Villain
Princess
Father Figure
Donor
Dispatcher
False Hero
Helper
(additional) Final Girl

Our film includes the Hero ,Villain, Princess, Father figure (mother), Final Girl (also the villian).

Hero: Our hero is Jessica. As an audience we learn to empathise with her, also she is the girl that      initiates the storyline. Once Jessica is killed we then have Leah as our main hero and then Olivia.
 This makes our film stand out as we kill off the main character within the first few minutes of our  film.

Villain/Final Girl: Our Villain is obviously Chloe. Despite the audience sympathising with her it  also plays on our primal fears of the internal monster. 

Princess: Although not the typical princess, our princess is just staying alive.

Father Figure:  Jessica's mother is the Father Figure in our film. She is the first mother to loose a  child and helps the rest to recover from their losses.
