This is the series that originated the Hammer Film Productions.

It was a series of 13 episodes of shots horror films. The episodes were shown once a week from September through to December and shocked audiences from all over, it was a breakthrough for British Television.

I feel that this has influenced our films as we too want to use darker colours to suggest the genre. However Hammer use man-made and external monsters to terrorise however we use the internal monster making the film seem very real and relating to our audience.
