Psycho (1960)
Norman Bates
Psycho is an American horror film about a young man named Norman Bates with a reputation for being a little bit odd. He lives in a big house with his mother and and runs a motel. When a woman turns up to stay there, she doesn't really see him as a threat. She decides to take a shower and is murdered by what is show to us as Norman's mother. Then, a detective comes to look for the woman and is pushed down the stairs by Norman's mother. later, the police come to the house and find that Norman's mother is dead. The murderer has been Norman dressing in his dead mother's clothes after he went crazy when she died. He even went as far as to dig up her bones and sit them in a chair. I have written about this film as it links in with our idea of having a strange person who has issues, giving them murderous intentions. It also shows a character who is seemingly normal to the rest of the world but wears a disguise to do his killing.

Jeepers Creepers (2001)
Final scene from Jeepers Creepers
Jeepers Creepers is based around the song "Jeepers Creepers" and follows a brother and sister driving on a long country road, when they're nearly killed by a strange man in a large car. He then spends the rest of the film trying to kill them. every time they hear the song "jeepers creepers" he strikes. the brother and sister find the bodies of people that he has killed before and notice that different parts of them are missing. the final shot of the film is of the brother with his eyes cut out. this also shows a character who has psychological issues and murderous intentions.

Halloween (1978)
Halloween is about a boy who comes from a broken family. He kills his step dad and older sister, his mother (a know prostitute, which he gets bullied for) kills herself, his little sister is given up for adoption and he is taken to a mental institute until he escapes and goes on a killing spree, all centring around his younger sister.
