The Roommate  

Plot

 Fresh from Des Moines, Iowa, Sara Matthews has just landed in Los Angeles as a college freshman studying fashion design. She meets handsome Stephen, party-lover Tracy, and roommate Rebecca. Rebecca is nice, sweet and ready to share everything with Sara. It could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship. But Tracy is convinced that there's something seriously wrong with Rebecca and bad things start happening to everyone close to Sara. If Sara is to have a normal college experience, she's going to have to get to the bottom of what's up with Rebecca and quickly get out of her clutches.

Characters

In this film the scenes mainly focus on just two of the characters Rebecca Evans (Leighton Meester) and Sara Mathews  (Minka Kelly). This is really similar to our film as we only focus on two characters and others will not be shown. however although this film does have more than two
characters a large proportion of the film just has these shown in it.











Genre
The genre of this film is was more suited than a horror. our film holds tension and suspense something most commonly found more in a thriller than a horror.

 

 

Trailer

The film uses a lot of close up shots not only on the characters but also on certain objects and things.

Something that hopefully our film will include. I think that it really helps to add tension and suspense to the film make it look more eerie and make the audience question why are they focusing on what can the character see or what is going to happen next. The lighting is slightly dark especially in parts when the roommate is spying on her. This helps to shows that she doesn't want to be seen it also adds to the creepiness and the scariness of it all.
